DIGITAL TRENDS IN 2023

We all know social media is popular in 2023. But, how popular? Which social media channel is the most widely used? What are they each used for? How do I determine what to post and when?

Through some research and personal experience, I have compiled some information to help answer these questions.

Depending on your target audience, these answers may apply differently. Here is a chart from Pew Research Center, showing social media use based on gender and age group.

Your business or organization will determine the best “posting time”. For example, if your business targets 30 year old women who enjoy Instagram, the best time to post is most likely not during the work day or dinner time. Think about the life of a 30 year old woman: home, family, work…

So now that we know where and when to post, WHAT do we post? This also depends on your business/organization. If you run a nonprofit, education is the way to go! If you sell a product or service, tailor to the needs of your customers. Here is some information to help you determine your content.
